Welcome to Indian Society for Trauma and Acute Care

Trauma is steadily increasing in the developing countries including India and is becoming a major public health problem. According to the recent WHO report, Trauma will be the third largest killer in the developing world. Considering the magnitude of the problem, much has to be achieved in terms of scientific research and education in the field of Trauma Care in our country.

Our Mission

The mission of the ISTAC® is to provide a professional forum for the exchange of information, education and training regarding all aspects of Trauma Care including Pre-Hospital Care, In-hospital acute care and definitive care for the trauma victims. Exchange of information and education through training programs will also focus on the field of Disaster Medicine.
